About Us

Who We Are

Founded in 2013 and registered under the Partnership Act 1932, BFFP is a non-sectarian, right-based development organization. We are headquartered in Karachi and have active operations across multiple union councils in Sindh. With over a decade of field presence, BFFP remains rooted in the values of dignity, inclusion, and justice. We work to improve lives through education, skills, and civic engagement—empowering people to become agents of their own change.

Mission:
To promote participatory, pro-poor, and gender-balanced development that brings equitable opportunities, empowers communities, and leads to inclusive policy change.

Vision:
To establish youth-led, people-centered, and gender-sensitive institutional frameworks that drive holistic community development in Pakistan.

Why Choose Us

We are embedded in the communities we serve—linguistically, culturally, and socially. Our multi-skilled team of educators, researchers, and community organizers operate with transparency and care. BFFP is trusted by international donors and national partners alike for our accountability, creativity, and ability to adapt. Whether it’s deploying enumerators across 15 cities or running training for 200 women, we deliver what we promise—with quality and heart.

Our Methodology

Our methodology reflects more than just a work plan—it defines how we empower communities through every step. Our approach is participatory, inclusive, and rooted in lived experiences of the people we serve.

We begin by listening—engaging elders, women, youth, and local influencers through dialogue and participatory assessments. This ensures that the interventions are need-based, locally owned, and culturally relevant.

Using evidence collected from the field, our team designs context-specific programs that balance technical expertise with human-centered solutions. Whether it’s launching a vocational course or setting up a youth sports event, every detail is co-created with local actors.

We invest in training facilitators, teachers, youth leaders, and support staff to carry forward the vision of sustainability. Our training combines practical skills with soft competencies like communication, leadership, and conflict resolution.

Field-tested plans are rolled out in a phased and structured manner. Teams ensure that outreach is maximized and no one is left behind—especially women, school dropouts, and youth from marginalized communities.

We believe in continuous learning. Through regular site visits, digital tracking tools, and community feedback, we measure what matters. Our MEL team documents results, adjusts strategies, and shares knowledge with partners.

Our Outreach

BFFP has a growing footprint across Pakistan’s most underserved areas, including Bhawalpur, Muzzafargarh, Tharparkar, Kohistan, Karachi, Lasbella and beyond. With 4 field offices and a pool of 100+ trained enumerators, we’ve reached over 15,000 beneficiaries in the last few years. Our programs cover urban slums, coastal villages, and hard-to-reach areas where traditional institutions often fall short.

Thematic Focus Areas

BFFP’s work spans multiple development sectors, united by a rights-based and equity-driven approach:

Education & Literacy

Through partnerships like the Adolescent & Adult Learning and Training Program (AALTP) Sindh Education Foundation, we provide primary education and functional literacy to out-of-school children and adults. We also support local schools with teacher training and learning material development.

Skill Development & Livelihoods

From dressmaking to digital skills, we offer certified vocational training to youth and women—especially in underserved and coastal areas. Our training helps beneficiaries launch home-based businesses or gain employment in the local market.

Women Empowerment & Gender Equality

BFFP leads women-centered initiatives, focusing on rights awareness, economic participation, reproductive health, and leadership development. We break barriers by offering non-traditional trades and platforms for women’s voices.

Youth Development & Sports for Peace

Sports and arts are powerful peace tools. We run youth-led football leagues, cultural competitions, and peer leadership workshops that help bridge divides and promote community cohesion in conflict-prone areas.

Child Rights Awareness & Advocacy

Our teams conduct community awareness sessions, street theater, and storytelling workshops to promote child protection, education access, and rights-based parenting practices.

Political Economy & Governance

We engage citizens and civil society organizations (CSOs) in dialogues around civic education, local governance, and social accountability. This empowers communities to hold institutions accountable and influence policies.

Environment & Cultural Heritage

We work with coastal and urban communities to promote environmental sustainability, cultural revival, and responsible resource use. Programs include community clean-ups, heritage tours, and green entrepreneurship models.
